Sea Turtles in the Sand and Surf: Conservation Efforts to Protect South Carolina’s State Reptile

As sea turtle nesting season is wrapping up on the South Carolina coast, join us in Greenville to dig into the details of loggerhead protection efforts. Meredith Bean, wildlife biologist from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, will fill us in on ongoing sea turtle genetics research, nesting trends, and why sea turtles wash ashore sick or injured. In this kickoff to our ninth season of Holland Life Learning, you’ll learn how you can help keep these threatened and endangered species safe, especially during your beach and boating trips!

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. at the Birds Fly South Ale Project in Greenville, SC. This event is 21+. Converse with local scientists as you enjoy beer and wine.

Members must sign in and the discount will be applied at checkout.
